F-INSAS was symbolically handed over to the Army by the Defence Minister on 16 Aug 2022 as part of indigenous soldier-system equipment. Open sources do not show a clean large production contract comparable to artillery/armour programs, so track as initial kit handover / phased infantry modernisation rather than an active 2024-30 tender.
